Is it time to play this game?

Is it time to play this game this time around?
You are beautiful, but I don’t like your smile
You got too many secrets I don’t know
Oh, I have held your hand too many times, to let somebody steal you now

Steal you now
steal you now, steal you now
Oh, close your eyes and let me lock you in tight
Oh, nobody will steal you now

Is it true your eyes are blue as the sea?
You are sitting on my bed saying words that don’t mean anything to me
Oh, I have looked into those eyes too long to let somebody steal you now

Steal you now
steal you now, steal you now
Oh, close your eyes and let me lock you in tight
Oh, nobody will steal you now

Oh, it is morning now and you’re still here with me
Oh, your hand is locked in mine but it’s too tight
Oh, I just free it and get out of bed
Oh, this is not the last time you will try to let somebody steal you now

Steal you now
steal you now, steal you now
Oh, close your eyes and let me lock you in tight
Oh, nobody will steal you now

8.Bilde The Traveler

This is the lyrics for my song The Thief which inspired me to write this storyΒ The Thief . The Thief is actually my second most played song on SoundCloud, only beaten by Pure Seduction, which too be honest I have never thought of as one of my best songs (but I think the title makes people think that it is very interesting πŸ˜‰ -it really isn’t, just another love song…Β  ) The Thief is one of my older songs so Dan Grubbs was still helping me with the mixing back then, and I collaborated with Alexander Hofmann for the bass. I’m the one singing and playing the ukulele πŸ™‚

To me The Thief has always been a very dysfunctional love song, and I guess the story The Thief turned out to be a pretty dysfunctional story as well. When I hear the song I do imagine someone who loves someone so much they would go to far to keep them.

It is played with my beloved ukulele which you can see on the picture underneath, or as I like to call it Uku, all loved instruments should have their own names πŸ˜‰Β Uku_flipped_2

So that was just a little background for the song The Thief. πŸ™‚ I hope you like these type of posts, I am trying to experiment with some other types of posts about my music and my stories and I figured that every third post will be a post about the music like this one. Hope that isn’t too much πŸ™‚

Lovely lyrics. I’m in awe of your abilities in this area. I’m just dipping my toe into these waters, and I’m still searching for the structures that work best for me, since what I want is lyrics in my novels sometimes, rather than say, tankas and haikus.
