Words

What do you mean,

you don’t like words?

How they do what they want

They don’t even need you

Once you’ve written them down

They got a life of their own

Yesterday,

I met these words

That were going places

Things to do

Minds to change

Worlds to unravel

And I can’t say

That I didn’t want to own them

But I just knew

You deserve to hear them too

    ‘Once you’ve written them down
They got a life of their own’

This is EXACTLY what I say about writing!! To precisely quote what I wrote: ‘ . . a creation finds a timeline of its own. It exists independent of us and it outlives us.’ It was such a nice feeling to read your poem ❤ ❤
