I refuse to write any more poems
She said
This will be my last one
And it won’t be about those glowing stars
She shouted
This one
It will be about how they fall down
All dark
Covered in nothing
All alone I’m sure
Yes, this poem will be about that
She whispered

Hilde, keep writing poems!

No worries I will 🙂 Not an autobiographical poem. Don’t consider myself a poetry star either so there can be no falling 😉

So sad, I hope she finds the real star she needs. Please don’t stop writing poetry though!

Lovely poem! I love the reluctance of the narrator. It’s like the poem is spilling out of her, regardless of what she actually wants. The muse does what the muse wants 🙂
