Hi you guys 😊
I hope you all are enjoying summer and like me have gone on vacation. I tried to finish some things for the blog before the vacation, and I have made a couple of more poems, and also tried to make some of them into audio poems. First one that is finished is Breathe. In this poem danger is definitely closer than you would like for it to be, I hope you will have a listen. Let me know what you think, and if you like it, I will make more 😊
If you want to listen to it or download it you can do it here:
Breathe – audio poem by Hilde T. Juvodden

Breathe
Don’t forget
To breathe
She said
I tried
I really did
But the air
Really couldn’t
reach me
*
Breathe
She would whisper
Just breathe
For another minute
For another second
Until we get out
Have faith
She would mumble
I don’t know
If it was meant for me
Or for herself
*
Just one
more breathe
I need you
To do that
For me
I could barely hear her
Couldn’t see her
But I did breathe
Had to do it
Couldn’t let her down
-HTJ
The poem is a part of a series of poems where; There is no time for crying was the first one, which you can read here: There is no time for crying (post), and listen to here: There is no time for crying (audio poem)

It has been a lot more fun to make the audio poems than I thought it would be, I guess the story of the poems become more alive to me as well when I get to put different sound effects to them. I thought it would be fun to make a post later when I can make different versions of the same poem just with different sound effects, it can definitely change the whole mood of the poem.
Have a great summer! 😊
