Hi everyone 😊
I hope you are all doing well!
So I was thinking it was time to move another of my songs to the blog, and this time it is one of those singer/songwriter songs with the ukulele and everything. It is actually called The Storyteller 😊. I have never had any posts with this song on the blog before, so it should be pretty “new” for most of you. Although this is an old song from the time when Dan Grubbs used to help me with the mixing, but everything else is by me.
I used to really like songs that had whistling, or “humming a melody” for the chorus (this might still be true 😉), so I decided to make a song with a whistling-chorus. I am really not a great “whistler” so it did take some time to get anything that could be used… but I did do it and hopefully it brought some extra “soul” into the song.
I will now also make the song available to listen to/download from my permanent Download page.
So without further ado …
I hope you will like it, let me know what you think. I have also added the lyrics for the song at the end of this post if you want to read it.
I will be making more new music in the weeks to come and hopefully some of it will be good enough for me to present to you guys 😊

The Storyteller
Verse 1:
Oh it’s time to say what you said that day you came around
standing on my porch
oh I said I got no more time to waste on anyone
and you said I won’t waste it anymore
*
Chorus:
Whistling
*
Verse 2:
Oh won’t you marry me
and we will move far away from anything
living all alone
and all we’ll need will be each other’s company
and a kid as time goes on
*
Verse 3:
Oh when we grow old our life will be no tragedy
as long as we are two
and I know everything will work out eventually
as long as I got you

It’s so good! It’s great to hear from you again. The uke kinda reminded me of the guitars on Jeff Buckley’s cover of Hallelujah… maybe?
And you’re right, the whistling does work!
