Let there be light

Okay so welcome to my first ever photo post ๐Ÿ˜Š. So, what it is this? (You might be thinking there already is enough types of post, but letโ€™s try it).

So far except for a couple of selfies I have mostly used pictures from morguefile.com as illustrations for my posts. Morguefile.com is a good website and you can use pictures in blog posts if you edit them enough. And I guess since there are so many other things that I should be focusing onโ€ฆ like writing or making musicโ€ฆ I really didnโ€™t think there would be much time for taking pictures. Still I gave it a go ๐Ÿ˜Š. I started simple and took some pictures of things in my own living room (and as you probably guessed from the title my theme for these pictures is of course โ€“ light-). I found that normal things can look quite strange if you try, and ordinary things can look quite beautiful. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have also taken a picture from one of the parks in Oslo, so you get to see real Norwegian snow ๐Ÿ˜Š. To top it off I have added a poem at the end with the title โ€“ Let there be light.

So, letโ€™s start with something simple and beautiful and at least in Norway very fitting for the season.

Hopefully this will make you feel the Norwegian โ€œkoseligโ€-feeling ๐Ÿ˜Š.

The Norwegian โ€œkoseligโ€-feeling is what you feel like when you are inside and it is cold outside, but you have light (maybe candles), a fireplace and a blanket. Maybe even a good cup of cocoa. So let me throw in another one of these โ€œkoseligโ€ pictures before we go on to the next ๐Ÿ˜‰

I also found that it can be a lot of fun to take pictures of things that are supposed to be just normal things, but then they look a bit unusual. Like this lamp underneath. The picture makes me feel like I have landed on another planet or something ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Let me throw in another one to see if I can get you to have that โ€œanother planetโ€ feeling as well ๐Ÿ˜Š

Okay so I hope you liked these. I will end with the poem and pictures that I hope will make you feel the story of the poem (they are from the park, but the last one almost makes me think of Narnia for some reason ๐Ÿ˜Š).

Let there be light

Let there be light

She said

Like she really meant it

Like she really thought

That there would be

I admired

Her faith

I really did

But it was dark

Back then

And light

Was nowhere

To be seen

*

Let there be light

She whispered

I could hear her

Every night

The same words

Over and over again

Are you sure?

I tried

That there should be light?

But she pretended

Not to hear

*

There will be light

She smiled

Really?

I said

She nodded

And I followed

Do you see it?

She whispered

Yes

I mumbled

Although

I had closed my eyes
