A Trainy Day

Hi

Welcome to this train-post or jump on board might be a better term 😊.

Just wanted to make a post about my travel through Norway to get back to Oslo after Christmas which was done by train and there is even a little video (if you’re one of those people who like mountains and snow… 😉 – I’m one of those people at least.)

So, like any good train-blogger I will give you a view of the train again…

Yeah…it is a typical Norwegian train… pretty much… 😊

This time I was travelling in style(?) with my own compartment (this does not feel like the right English word… but anyway …). I would have my own bed and everything, and with almost no sleep when I travelled the opposite way, I was this time ready for a challenge.

(Can a person sleep on a train? – *Mission accepted* 😉)

As you can see my “compartment” looked great, almost like my own super tiny flat…

Notice the little chocolates on the pillow… (let’s take a closer look)

(Too cute 😊 Natta is a Norwegian word for “Good night”)

Sleeping on a train was wonderful, must be something about a moving train that is very soothing. Time flew and the next day came fast.

I tried to take some photos for you guys to show you all the beautiful Norwegian nature, but I have to admit it is pretty difficult for an inexperienced train-blogger to take pictures out of a window.

So, to make up for this I made a little video 😊. (The music is my own song, Tropical Spaceship).

I hope you enjoyed the post and that you want to read more posts! (or maybe listen to some of my music), you can also find more music on my permanent Download Music page.

I am glad you were able to experience the pampering of having your own compartment. Throw in the rush of beautiful Norwegian scenery with each mile, and how could you not want to take a train trip. Well written and entertaining , as always!

Looks a really beautiful journey. By coincidence I’m writing this comment on a train journey through mountains! Very dull and foggy weather for my journey though! 🙂

My daughter took the train from Bergen to Oslo last November and she said the scenery was amazing. It was lovely to see your journey and get a sense of the beautiful Norwegian countryside. Enjoyed the music too.

a dream trip. my desire to meet Norway has become stronger and fueled by your beautiful and sensitive post. images, music… (for now, postponed due to treatment and control tests for cancer. I’m fine, but I still can’t make long trips.). Hug from Porto Alegre, southern Brazil.
