Moving another song – The Thief

Hi

So, I have decided to move one of my old songs The Thief to the blog, actually one of my most played song on SoundCloud 😊. I play the ukulele and sing, and Alexander Hofmann plays the bass. Back then I didn’t mix my own songs, so I got help from Dan Grubbs. It was fun collaborating with other people, but at the same time I have to admit that I do enjoy having full control over the whole process myself (of course then there is no one to blame if it sounds awful … πŸ˜‰). You can listen to/download the song here and I will also add it to my permanent Download Music page.

I hope you’ll like it 😊

I have also been working on new music lately and I have recently done the vocal recording for my new song. I guess that can sound fancier than it is, but I only do recordings in my own home, so it is just setting up all the equipment in the most silent room in the apartment and pray that the neighbours are okay with it πŸ˜‰. The working title of my new song seems to be β€œSo dark in here”. Next step is to start mixing the song, making all those little puzzle pieces fit together 😊.

If you like the images that have been used to illustrate this poem, they are all from morguefile.com. The photos have been edited, but the first photo is by utoplec and the second photo is by MarcusL.

“You are beautiful but I don’t like your smile.”

I love that line. And it’s so true sometimes. A person can be beautiful but also deceptive of course. What a great song and I love the pictures. They compliment it quite well. Thank you for sharing!
